Photo journal: De-mining Burundi

The Burundian de-miners are now highly skilled.

They have all gone through an intensive training programme run by international advisers such as Didier Perardel, seen here teaching a class.

When the Burundi operation ends this autumn, the hope is that they will help their neighbours.

Mr Biyaka says: "We are like a family, and I hope in the future we could continue in the same way to be a family, in order to continue to work, maybe in other countries."
