Photo journal: De-mining Burundi

Local children in the remote south-western province of Bururi watch as the de-mining team begin the hike up to a series of electricity pylons.

The team has spent weeks clearing the area around the pylons to allow the country's electricity provider to do essential maintenance work.

The operation is being run by the Swiss Foundation for Mine Action (FSD), one of two de-mining organisations which work in Burundi.
