Most people in Andavadoaka will never make the four-day journey to Antananarivo.

And apart from the fish sold in Antananarivo's markets there is little to remind people of the importance of Madagascar's coasts.

But for Samba Roger and the Vezo people of the south-west, the reality is clear: failure to protect marine resources now, means an uncertain future.
