In pictures: The legacy of Bob Marley

One of Marley's closest friends at the yard was Vincent Ford aka Tarta.

People in Trench Town say Ford taught Marley to play the guitar and even wrote the words to 'No Woman, No Cry'.

Critics dispute this saying Marley gave away the song credit to his disabled friend, who ran a soup kitchen, so he could support himself.

Ravaged by diabetes, Ford now lives outside Trench Town, but retains close links with the community.
