This picture, entitled, "Anju in a boat", was taken by seven-year-old Parvati in Pokhara. "We had been on a field trip to the World Peace Pagoda across the lake in the town, and Anju was sitting in the boat, hungry and bored, wondering when he would get home," she said.

While most of her companions sat around listlessly, Parvati kept on snapping. "It makes me feel more confident having the camera in my hands. I want to take pictures of everything. I like getting close up."
