Photo journal: Indian family

This is one of six photo journals published as part of the BBC's Future Family week, exploring the changing nature of family life.

Two-thirds of India's one-billion-plus population are farmers. Most have very little land. Many have none and work for others.

Shabnarayan Jhanjharia is a farmer in Jatheri village in Haryana state, not far from Delhi.

The 72-year-old heads a family of 12. All but one of his children work on the four-acre farm.
