Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin recalls that during his appearance on Breakfast, Sting categorically denied that the Police were re-forming. He appeared on Breakfast with a lute - not his usual instrument. He later went head-to-head with Sir Paul McCartney at the Classical Brits. It was later confirmed that the Police WOULD be getting together in 2007 with the original line-up playing a series of dates across the UK.
