In pictures: Palestinian rubbish dump

Mr Mahmoud keeps the rubbish he collects on the roof of his house.

He says this is to stop other Palestinians stealing the material.

Mr Mahmoud reckons he will be able to sell this batch of rubbish for $200 (£100) to a middleman, who will then sell it on to Israeli companies.
