William and Samantha Shaw, from Vancouver, Canada, are travelling with sons Ethan, Ben and Jack.

"We wanted to tour South America and take the kids to see penguins. We also wanted to see the Falklands because it was historical. We did some research and it is what we expected. We knew it would be cold and it is quite windy today.

"When we return to Stanley we'll have a walk around and buy souvenirs, but we'll be limited for time."
