Analogue computers

Almost all of the devices held in storage were once working industrial machines.

The totalisator was an early computer that controlled the betting system at the Haringey greyhounds racing track in London.

The machine was invented by Australian George Julius and installed at the stadium in 1927. It remained in use until it closed in 1987.

It is one of several analogue computers held in the collections.
