Vera Simpson, 62, from Middlesbrough, followed her sister to the Falklands 21 years ago, along with her husband Fred.

She recently started selling cut-price children's clothes - shipped over by a relative in Barnsley - out of a trailer in Stanley on Saturday afternoons.

"Everyone's always after more kids' clothes here."

"I could never live in the UK again - we're that used to the tranquillity here - but I do like to go back for the shopping."
