School run

Seven-year-old Matthew Hansen lives on a farm in such an isolated spot in the Falkland Islands that he can't attend normal school.

He instead receives camp education "camp" being the Falklands name for any place outside the capital Stanley.

Every six weeks, a travelling teacher comes to live with the family for a fortnight, giving him lessons in a little prefab schoolroom on the farm. For the other four weeks, Matthew is taught by telephone, and by mum Susie and dad Ian.
