Alejandro is 60 and Teodora is 53, but they have never married.

"We are going to get married, I love her very much. I have to get married to complete my duties to the Catholic church," says Alejandro.

There is no church in Chijichpa, but there is one in the nearest town, Coroico. The family sometimes attends mass on religious festivals.

"I am Catholic and I believe in God and I love my religion," Alejandro says.
