Zimbabwe's veteran President Robert Mugabe has been endorsed by his party to stand again as their presidential candidate in next year's election.

Mr Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe since independence in 1980 but after several years of economic decline, it is now a country in serious crisis. Inflation is the highest in the world and an estimated 3m people have fled the country.

For those who remain, life is very difficult, especially in the rural areas.
