Street art is already well established in Kenya - on public minibuses, known as matatus.
Artists have long used the vehicles as an avenue to display their creativity by branding them with colourful portraits of pop stars or other graphic images on their exteriors.
Matatu art is currently the only way in which artists specialising in graffiti can earn good money for their work. They are paid up to $200 for a job. Some young motorists are also spraying their cars with similar images.
