In pictures: Mozambique's fishing revival
Destroyed

Much of island life is dependent on fishing, often using centuries-old methods and equipment. Fishermen head out to sea armed only with nets and traps, or a snorkel mask and spear.

"People came from within Mozambique and abroad who did not respect our rules.

"They used tightly meshed nets which take everything from the sea, including the tiny fry and fish eggs. They destroyed everything."
