In pictures: Life for Uganda's war displaced

The last time rebels were seen in Attiak camp was five months ago, during October 2006, when about 400 passed through on their way to southern Sudan.

Greeting everybody, the rebels told the camp's residents that they must pray that the talks succeed.

Those living in the camps in the north want to go home and dig in their shambas [small farms].

But with the peace talks stalling, their hopes are on hold. And until sustainable peace is achieved, their lives are too.
