Freshness is vital.

Every day some 30 tonnes of khat is transported in speeding pick-ups to Nairobi, Kenya, and later distributed to local dealers and exporters.

Despite a decline in export sales, there is still plenty of money to be made, judging by the new vehicles transporting their cargo at break-neck speed along the main roads.
