Latrines

Sabina Mwende says they construct pit latrines on rotation.

"We use this little space to rotate the latrine every five years. This one was dug this year after the one next to it filled up. This is the fourth time we have constructed a latrine here."

The pit latrine is made of old iron sheets and wattle tree stems and is not safe.

The toilet serves about 40 people and is locked to keep outsiders away.
