The new road is being built over an older, more dilapidated route. But the wide highway will carve close to a crowded residential area.
As the road gang's earth movers move in, locals pick up tools and dismantle the homes standing in the way.
"My grandmother lives here and she is unhappy," says Dimetros Embakon (far left).
"Her house will stay, but they are building a big wall here. There is no way out. What will people do when they get sick?"
