With many Algerians now on their summer holidays, they are more interested in spending a day at the beach than going to the All Africa Games.

Algerians say two things are sacred in summer time – the beach and weddings.

Days are spent by the sea, nights at weddings, elaborate festivals of music, dancing and couscous.
