In pictures: Life in an eco-roundhouse

Visitors sleep in a separate little roundhouse, with walls made from straw bales, sand, clay and horse manure. It is also threatened with demolition if planning permission is not granted.

Tony says he now hates being in square houses with their "bright lights, oppressive ceilings and the TV always being on".

He misses having a fixed phone line though.

"But when we moved here at first it was so wonderful not to be disturbed by the phone," adds Jane.
