In pictures: Life in a squat

Jan makes his income from a screen-printing workshop in the squat. He designs and produces printed T-shirts and hooded tops, patches and bags. The prints are sold at festivals, parties and in some local shops.

He also teaches small groups – they bring small cash donations, food, or sometimes useful things they have found in skips.

Living in a communal environment helps: "I like to get inspiration from other people, I couldn’t sit alone and do this."
