Photojournal: Attempt on Mera

Stuart's first view of Mera Peak made him excited and keen to get on with the trek. But the weather was cold and it snowed heavily.

"My Sherpa warned me that Mera may be too dangerous to climb.

"After a day's rest it was decided that Mera was indeed too snowbound for me to go any further. Furgeljen advised me to try another time. Although he could manage to climb Mera, I couldn’t because of my weight."
