Photojournal: Attempt on Mera

Every time that Stuart goes to Nepal he visits the Great Stupa of Boudhanath, the most important Buddhist monument outside Tibet.

“The site is considered very much like Mecca for Tibetan Buddhists, and every year tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the Himalayan region visit the Stupa.

“I walked around the Stupa three times and asked the Buddha for peace and safety during my long trip to climb Mera.”
