Eveline D'hanens took this shot on a trip through India.

The mother contracted HIV after receiving infected blood during the birth of her daughter.

The shot is taken outside the doctor's house.

The little girl is HIV negative.

The photographer said: "Dhriti herself didn’t want to be recognizable.

That is why I placed her in the shadow/in the dark. She was too shameful and afraid that her children would be discriminated.”
