"The road goes through the valley and they will start a rock quarry soon. After the road came the electrical lines," Jigme says.

"We are told that the lines will run to the houses and our relatives around the road would be pleased with that.

"The Chinese come from the town to do the work. I don’t speak their language so I don't know if they like it much. They always look like they are very cold."
