Market prices

At this market in Arusha, the prices for livestock have gone down dramatically.

"Formally a cow could reach up to $450. Currently we can't sell for more than $25," says one Maasai man at the market.

Despite the fall in prices, he intends to sell his cattle in order to buy a bag of maize to feed his family.
