In pictures: Ghana's water lifeline
Tourist magnet

Because of the region's high mountain ranges and rivers, there are several waterfalls.

The Wli Falls pounds from a height of over 60 metres. Visitors have to cross one meandering river nine times to reach it.

The falls attract local and foreign tourists, boosting the local economy. However, more investment is needed in its infrastructure for the region to realise its full potential from tourism.
