Photo journal: Getting an education in Sierra Leone
Getting better

Jane Koroma works as an education co-ordinator in the Kholifa Mabang Chiefdom in Tonkolilli. She explained the problems saying, "Some of the schools are very bad.

"They have no trained teachers just volunteers from the village, no buildings.

"But the situation will get better.

"We have 150 primary teachers enrolled in our distance learning programme. When finished they'll have a degree and be fully-qualified. It's a long process but we're starting to see results."
