In pictures: DR Congo's street manicurists
Nail varnish

Street hawkers are a common site in many African cities but in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, some have branched out into a new line - street manicures.

They are a common sight, walking along Kinshasa's roadsides, and most of their customers are men.

Cedric Mukoko, 16, says he has been looking after the nails of Kinshasa's men, and sometimes women, for four years.

He doubles up by selling coloured nail varnish - to women, as men just use clear varnish.
