The village well is so deep, children tie their buckets on to the back of a donkey with a rope, and use the animal as a pulley system to lever up the container from below.
It is hard work, but the children don't mind as there is nothing for them to do in the village. The nearest school is 7km away, much too far to walk every day.
"Our village has no water and no school - what kind of life is this for the people?” asks Gombo. “It seems nobody wants to help us."
