Photo journal: Burkina Faso cotton farmer
Grilled corn

"Because of my work as the farmers’ union president, I have very little time to spend on my farm, which is managed by my brothers and their wives.

But I am still a farmer at heart and there is nothing I love more than sitting on my farm eating freshly picked and grilled corn.

We do not want hand-outs, that is not what development is about. What we want is a fair price for our crops."
