Raphael Chikukwa contrasts Tanzania – where the contribution to World War II is acknowledged publicly and remembered – to Zimbabwe, where he says the government disregards the World War II veterans.

Government supporters even vandalised a war memorial in Harare, seeing veterans as collaborators with the colonial regime.
