In pictures: Vintage Scotland

John McGill from Riccarton in Kilmarnock sent a number of pictures from his family album, two of which have been picked.

The first captures the wedding day of his mother and father.

The couple, in smart but simple dress, were wrapped up for the weather on their special day - 1 January, 1927.
