Some of the office areas look like they were abandoned just days or weeks ago.

These wooden cubbyholes - still festooned with padlocks, clips, labels and bunches of keys - were an essential part of the power station's safety regime.

Maintenance workers would shut off equipment being repaired with padlocks and deposit the keys in these lockable boxes, ensuring the equipment remained isolated until they had finished.
