Bribes

Farmers bringing their animals to market are often targeted by corrupt police officers and gangsters.

"It's because of the men from the Rapid Action Battalion. They are all around so the police dare not take money from us. In fact they are helping us through the difficult roads. It's amazing.

"I used to spend 6,000 taka ($100) per trip on bribes."
