Abdul Hamid crossed into Indian-administered Kashmir in 1947. For the past 56 years, he hasn't seen or heard from his brother, Sharif, whom he left behind.

He is anxious to board the bus but hasn't been able to secure a permit.

Many are unhappy that the bus will run only once a fortnight. But for some, it's an important first step.
