"Thank God for Ramadan," says Mrs Aziz.

"We usually stock up for the entire month before Ramadan so there were plenty of provisions."

She gestures towards a corner where one can see sacks of groceries.

"That is all that we do," she says. "Cook for everyone and talk about the people who have died."
