Hangzhou city hosts Miss Tourism International, which aims to promote China's fast-growing tourist industry and show that the country has really arrived on the world stage.

There are 68 contestants from all over the world. But they have plenty of complaints. They say their hotel is not big enough and they are forced to rehearse in the corridors, they don't like the food, and haven't had a single day off in a month.

But the director of the contest has little time for the girls' complaints. "They didn't come here for a holiday," he says.
