In pictures: An Iranian bathhouse
Family tradition

Public bathhouses are an ancient tradition in Iran that in many areas still form part of people's daily lives.

The Ebrahim Khan bathhouse in the south-eastern province of Kerman is run by Hamid Iranpak. He took it over from his father, Golam Hussein, who ran it for 40 years.

A prince of the Qajar dynasty whose family ruled Kerman for generations, Khan built the bathhouse and surrounding complex in the early 19th Century.
