Vladivostock, Far Eastern Russia

Vladivostok – meaning Lord of the East - has always been closely related to its oriental neighbours.

South Korean labour and Japanese expertise have in recent years spurred the region into life. Chinese tourists flood over the border, the city an ideal location for a weekend of gambling and chasing Russian prostitutes.

Here a Chinese tourist of a more spiritualist bent practices Tai Chi on the beach overlooking the Amursky Gulf.
