In the latest in our series on people's daily lives, Lugwani, a Tanzanian wood carver talks about how he transforms logs into art.
I live in Kiluvia, a rural area just outside Tanzania's main city, Dar es Salaam.
Whenever I start a new piece of work I have to go looking for the wood in the bush.
It is becoming more difficult to find the right type of wood due to deforestation caused by charcoal makers. Once I have found a good piece I often have to chop it down.
