Palm wine is drunk as far away as Nigeria.

Nowadays, some people drink red wine or beer but only if they can't get palm wine. I can't get enough to keep my customers happy.

A lot of young people aren't interested in learning how to collect the wine - they don't think there is much money in it.

But the other day I told some young people that I can collect 20 litres a day and make 2,500 CFA francs ($5) and they were very interested. It's better than growing peanuts or rice.
