Photo journal: Mali president

In the latest in our series on people's daily lives, Mali's President Amadou Toumani Toure (ATT) talks about the pressures of life at the top.

He then organised multi-party elections and stood down before returning to power after winning polls in 2002.

When he left power in 1992, he said: "You have to be crazy or stupid to want to be president."
