In pictures: Malawi village

A group of Njoho parents set-up this nursery to help children who have lost their parents to HIV/Aids.

Forty-two of the playgroup’s 100 children are orphans, double the total in 2002.

“We do not want orphans to grow up thinking they are different from other kids in the village.

If they didn’t come here, they would be working in the fields or even begging for food,” says Lucy Makawa, who helped set up the nursery.
