For the past 12 months, Margaret Gayesi has spent most of her time looking after Eneresi and the two orphans that her sister-in-law adopted shortly before contracting TB.

“I am hopeful that Eneresi will get better, so every day, I bathe her and tend to her,” she says.

“We get no help from our neighbours. Since the illness, people that we thought were good friends simply ignore us.”
