In pictures: Ethiopian naming ceremony

Badadha, 17, is taking part in a photography project to capture the daily lives of Ethiopians.

It is the first time she has used a camera but she can now upload photos and audio clips to the Ethiopian lives weblog.

Badadha, seen here chewing on a piece of wood to clean her teeth, has documented a naming ceremony of one of her neighbours’ children in her village near Dirre, in Ethiopia’s southern Borana region.
