Never without

It takes three hours to walk to Asmara from our village but people go to Asmara because they can sell the beles for a bit more money.

We can sell one beles for 50 cents. The price goes up when it is raining, and it is the rainy season in Asmara right now.

The rains have been good this year after many years of drought, which makes the harvest difficult. But we always have our beles.
