The residents of Fougadougou recently celebrated the distribution of 50 million treatments.

Bakary Diarra, a leading elder of Fougadougou, enthused after the ceremony, where blind people were dancing and drumming.

"There was no charisma in the village when Onchocerciasis ruled. The atmosphere has changed a lot. Now, even the old and those who can’t see are in good health and good spirits."
